The fantasy playoffs are here, and if you’ve made it this far, you know how important the matchups are. Not to say that they dictate everything, but we know what the limitations are of certain players at this point in the season.
For instance, would you have guessed that Brian Hoyer is averaging two touchdown passes a game (tied for 9th) or that Aaron Rodgers is averaging 6.91 yards per attempt (24th in the NFL)?
Both of those are true, and we must use the numbers to our advantage with all that we have available.
Shuffling through the barrage of numbers available at PFF, I’ve settled on a few players that you need to trust regardless of your worries. There are also a few players that you should be weary of, whether it be the matchup or because of unsustainable production.
Last week we picked up Devante Parker and Ryan Mathews (who’ll likely pay off really soon), but looked a little bit closer at Alfred Blue and Markus Wheaton to realize they were not trustworthy. Let’s take a look at the ones that we are gravitating towards or away from this week.
