Advanced Targets - Week 14
While running backs stole the show in the first week of the fantasy playoffs, you needed to pair them with an elite receiver or two in order to advance. In Week 14, thirteen wideouts combined double digit targets with either a touchdown or at least 2.0 yards per route. Calvin Johnson continues on a pace to break Jerry Rice’s single-season yardage record, but Brandon Marshall jumped back in front of him in the fantasy realm.
Don’t ask Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland what he thinks of the seasons Marshall and Dez Bryant are having. His response will be both profane and off topic.

The Week 14 leaderboard is littered with players from teams who spent most of Sunday in desperation comeback mode. More than half ran routes on at least 70% of their snaps. That’s an excellent reminder that when making lineup decisions the opposing team’s offense can be just as important as the opposing team’s defense.
Marshall, Josh Gordon, and Michael Crabtree were the only players targeted on at least 20% of their snaps. While the Bears have run into a reality wall the past several weeks, there’s no coverage that can stop Marshall’s fantasy barrage. Despite running 165 fewer routes than Megatron, he trails him by only nine targets.
