Aaron Jones emerges in victory for Green Bay

  • With Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery missing the game against the Dallas Cowboys this week due to broken ribs, a lot fell on the shoulders of rookie Aaron Jones, and he responded with authority, racking up 125 rushing yards and an overall PFF grade of 86.4 in Green Bay’s come from behind victory.
  • Jones broke five tackles over the course of the game, averaging 2.84 yards after contact and posting an impressive elusive rating of 71.1, at times rattling off big gains just when the Packers needed them.
  • Jones was kept in to pass block eight times, and didn’t allow any pressure, and was so impressive that he played 53 snaps, 88.3 percent of a possible 60. The only other half back to see playing time was Jamaal Williams, who was on the field for just two snaps.
  • Jones caught the only pass thrown his way for a nine-yard gain.
