It’s easy to look at the box scores and make conclusions about fantasy performance, but the numbers often don’t tell the whole story. Each week, I’ll dig a little deeper and pull out some need-to-know stats that will help you dominate your league.
1. Deangelo Williams played all but one snap after Le’Veon Bell left the game.
Williams is obviously the top waiver wire add this week, but it’s important to note just how heavily he was used after Bell’s injury. This usage is identical to what we saw from him earlier this season during Bell's suspension. Williams played 61-of-76 snaps in Week 1, and 53-of-57 snaps in Week 2. And let's not overlook that fact that he played well, racking up 110 total yards on 13 touches and posting the highest elusive rating of the week among runners with at least 25 percent of their team’s attempts. Spend all the FAAB you have left on Williams this week.
