When Oklahoma is on offense
- Oklahoma’s starting offensive line is collectively responsible for just two sacks and 18 total pressures, while QB Baker Mayfield has been charged with four sacks and 12 total pressures. Mayfield fields the nation's highest passer rating when kept clean from pressure at 157.4.
- Texas’ Malik Jefferson is giving up just 0.45 yards per coverage snap, fifth-best among Big 12 inside linebackers. Interior defender Poona Ford has registered 11 pressures on opposing quarterbacks this season, while also proving his worth in run defense with eight run stops.
When Texas is on offense
- Edge defender Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has posted 19 total pressures this season, and is ranked second among Big 12 edge players in pass-rush productivity.
- On the opposite end of that spectrum, Longhorns G Patrick Vahe will need to tighten up his pass protection this season – as he has allowed nine total QB pressures – fourth-most among Big 12 guards with at least 60 pass blocking snaps.
