In this week’s edition of Advanced Targets we again go behind the scenes and look at target data available nowhere else on the web.
Pass Routes
The top of the leaderboard is littered with receivers on teams playing catch-up late. DeAndre Hopkins led the way with 53 routes, a number that helped him finish second in targets with 13. While he was only moderately efficient on a yards per route basis (1.85), the two touchdowns made him one of the week’s biggest impact performers.
A trio of Seahawks receivers made the Top 15 with Doug Baldwin (50) and Jermaine Kearse (49) sliding in next to Brandin Cooks (50). Tyler Lockett was only targeted four times, but his route number (41) suggests he may not be far behind in the pecking order. As Baldwin finished with 0.70 yards per route and ran 86 percent of his routes out of the slot, Lockett looks poised to be the top fantasy option sooner rather than later.
