IDP Snap Report - Week 8

Brandon Spikes, LeSean McCoyNFL’s Week 7 was headlined by injuries, but in terms of players in the front seven there were more players returning than leaving. Whether it is someone getting hurt or someone returning from injury, there will be one or more players seeing an increase in snaps and one or more seeing a decrease. The more snaps you have, the more opportunities to score fantasy point. As always, the IDP Snap Report is here to let you know of the players who saw a major change in snaps last week and how that will effect things going forward.

Paul Worrilow/Akeem Dent

The Falcons have been thin at linebacker, and in Week 5 they were without Akeem Dent. They used Joplo Bartu, Omar Gaither and Stephen Nicholas in the base defense, and Bartu and Paul Worrilow in the nickel. After their bye in Week 6, they changed things up a bit for Week 7. Paul Worrilow’s role grew to not just the nickel defense but the base as well, with only missing dime snaps. Akeem Dent in his return only played in the base defense. This meant Gaither and Nicholas didn’t have much of a role in the defense at all. At the moment Worrilow is worth keeping an eye on going forward due to his nearly every down role. Dent is someone that might not be worth starting anymore if he doesn’t get his nickel snaps back.
