We are now a month into the season, which means teams have had a few weeks to become set in how they are using their players. As the season goes on we might see a higher number of younger players get playing time which will be interesting to track, but for now the majority of changes are due to injury. As usual, here are the players who saw significantly more or less snaps in Week 4, and what to expect from their snaps going forward.
Bears Defensive Line
In Week 3 Henry Melton had a season ending injury, which has now led to an increase in snaps for other Bears linemen. Seeing the biggest boost was Nate Collins who was already heavily in the rotation, but in Week 4 saw a season high 87% of snaps. Defensive end Corey Wootton was already playing a little defensive tackle at times with 12 snaps from defensive tackle in Week 3. In Week 4 that increased to 23 snaps at defensive tackle, so he also saw a season high 87% of snaps. Defensive tackle Landon Cohen also joined the rotation but was only in for 22% of snaps, while sixth round rookie Cornelius Washington had his first four snaps of the season.
