In this weekly column I'll highlight some top IDP options that aren't always “must-start” players. I'll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint in week 6.
Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.
Defensive Line
Start
Cincinnati DE1 vs BUF
Carlos Dunlap and Michael Johnson both project as top 5 defensive ends this week. They'll be matched up against a Buffalo offense led by Thad Lewis. The Bills will try to protect him by running the football often leading to tackle opportunities for the Bengal ends. When Lewis is forced to throw there's a good chance that Dunlap or Johnson get to him this week. Both project over 4.5 tackles and right at a half a sack each.
Ezekiel Ansah DE2 vs CLE
The Browns are an upside matchup for defensive linemen especially with Brandon Weeden back in the starting lineup. “The Weed” holds the ball entirely too long and takes sacks, lots of sacks. Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley also project as solid matchups from the defensive tackle position.
