IDP Lineup Decisions – Week 4

rob-ninkovich-lb-new-england-patriots_pg_600In this weekly column I’ll highlight some top IDP options that aren’t always “must-start” players. I’ll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint this week.

Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.

Defensive Line

Rob Ninkovich DL1 vs KC

We reached the point in the season in fantasy football and especially in IDP leagues where you have to remember to keep starting your studs even if they’ve disappointed so far. IDP production can seem to vary even more than on the offensive side of the ball and it’s important to be patient.

If you fail to be, your highly drafted players are sure to have a big performance the moment you bench them. This week Ninkovich is still a low end DL1 and you should roll with him against Kansas City.

Michael Johnson DL2 vs PIT

Last week Mario Addison was our Flyer of the Week on the defensive line. He’s a situational pass rusher for the Panthers who were going up against the Steelers. Sure enough, Big Ben held on to the ball way too long trying desperately to create a big play and Addison got home.

There’s a good chance Johnson comes through in a similar fashion against the Steelers. He’ll also bring the added bonus of tackle production in the run and pass game.

    Isn’t Kendricks hurt?

Yeah. Plus about Preston Brown, the Bills are @ HOU this week, they’re not playing NE.

that’s what I thought. I threw some trades out to the guy who has Kendricks thinking he wasn’t going to play this weekend. Saw on twitter he didn’t practice today either a minute ago
