IDP Lineup Decisions – Week 16

houstontackleIn this weekly column I’ll highlight some top IDP options that aren’t always “must-start” players. I’ll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint in week 16.

Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.

Defensive Line

Lamarr Houston DL2 vs SD

Houston hasn’t registered a sack since week 11 but did manage five solo tackles in last week’s shootout with the Chiefs. This week the Raiders play the Chargers. The first time the two teams met Houston had his best game of the season, eight total tackles and a sack. Look for the defensive end to have another big game Sunday.

Demarcus Ware DL2 vs WAS

Ware matches up against a struggling Redskin’s offensive line protecting second year man Kirk Cousins. Starting Ware was a no-brainer in years past but he’s been limited in practice and barely scratched the stat sheet last week. It’s a tough call but I’d roll with him as long as he doesn’t have a setback on the injury front.
