In this weekly column I'll highlight some top IDP options that aren't always “must-start” players. I'll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint in week 15.
Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.
Defensive Line
Start
Olivier Vernon DL2 vs NE
Rookie Dion Jordan was the talk of the offseason along the Dolphins front. But it's been second-year man Olivier Vernon that's paid the bills for IDP owners. He's recorded at least one sack in his last four games. Vernon sits roughly 10-15 snaps a game but that seems to keep him fresh and he's had a positive grade in six of his last seven contest. This week he's in that 20-24 range as he goes against the Patriots who have been middle of the pack in pass protection.
Derrick Morgan DL2 vs ARI
Morgan put up a goose egg last week against the Broncos and Peyton Manning's quick trigger. This week he's a good matchup play against the Cardinals who have trouble protecting Carson Palmer. Palmer is a statue back there and the offensive line is the poorest pass blocking unit in the league.
