IDP Lineup Decisions – Week 14

charlesjohnsonIn this weekly column I’ll highlight some top IDP options that aren’t always “must-start” players. I’ll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint this week.

Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.

Defensive Line

Charles Johnson DL2 vs NO

It’s playoff time. For me that means don’t get too cute with your lineup. Go with who got you to the playoffs or who gives you the best chance to post a solid number. If you start chasing upside performances you can get burnt.

Johnson had a very rocky beginning to the season. However, since week 5 he’s been pretty much money in the bank as a DL2. The Saints aren’t a great matchup but it’ll be hard to leave him on the bench in this NFC South showdown.

Jerry Hughes DL2 vs DEN

Peyton Manning does get the ball out quickly but I’d still start Hughes this week unless you just have a stacked defensive line. Hughes has been on the start side of this column before and come through.
