Always start your studs. This is one of many fantasy football maxims. In IDP leagues it’s no different. If you’ve drafted well, your top players will be consistent enough to justify a start every week. But veteran IDP owners know that making the correct decisions on those final starters is what wins championships.
In this weekly start/sit column I’ll highlight players that project significantly higher or lower than their season projection ranking in an effort to help you make those tough lineup decisions. I’ll also give you some flyer picks for deeper leagues or when those pesky bye weeks hit hard.
Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.
Defensive Line
Start
Justin Smith DE2 SF vs GB
Green Bay’s ability to spread the field and no-huddle offense increases Smith’s tackle and assist opportunities. He’s also projected to register a half sack as the 49er defensive front bullies the Packer’s offensive line. If your league does not award points for assists downgrade him to a DE3.
