Gronkowski a Game-time Decision in Week 14

Heading into kickoff time, a few fantasy relevant players remain to be game-time decisions. They include: Matt Schaub, Rob Gronkowski, and C.J. Anderson. The following is a Sunday morning accelerated update on all of the top fantasy-relevant injury news.

As a reminder, there are five status designations players can have: active, probable, questionable, doubtful and out. The active and out designations are self-explanatory. The probable designation signifies a player has a greater than 50 percent chance of being active for the game. Questionable means the player essentially has a 50-50 chance of playing. Doubtful means the player has less than a 25 percent chance of playing.

Note: Below, if I refer to an injury that I’ve previously described in detail, I’ll provide a link to that past article.

Players already declared out include: Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Karlos Williams, Chris Thompson, Carlos Hyde, Marshawn Lynch, Steve Johnson, Kendall Wright, Dontrelle Inman, Marquess Wilson, DeAnthony Thomas, Andrew Hawkins, Julian Edelman, and Matt Bryant.

Players listed as doubtful who aren’t expected to play: Marlon Brown and Crockett Gillmore.

Players listed as questionable who will likely see close to their usual workloads include: Eddie Royal, Ty Montgomery, and Zach Miller.

Players listed as probable who will likely see their usual workloads include: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Philip Rivers, Johnny Manziel, Sam Bradford, Matthew Hasselbeck, Jonathan Stewart, Ryan Mathews, Alfred Blue, Dexter McCluster, Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Anquan Boldin, Dez Bryant, Emmanuel Sanders, Vincent Jackson, Willie Snead, Cecil Shorts, Wes Welker, Phillip Dorsett, Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz, Heath Miller, Owen Daniels, Ladarius Green, Kellen Davis, and Greg Zuerlein.

These players’ injury situations warrant a closer look this morning:

Matt Schaub missed practice all week due to a chest injury. He’s listed as questionable for today’s game. Jimmy Clausen will get the start if he is unable to play.

I don’t expect Schaub to play. He didn’t practice all week, and the Ravens just promoted quarterback Bryn Renner from the practice squad. With Clausen starting under center, all of the Ravens pass catchers will have significantly less fantasy value this week.
