Grades for Bucs-Dolphins

Here are the top takeaways from Thursday’s Buccaneers-Dolphins game, including the highest-graded players for each team:

Buccaneers:

— Fighting for a roster spot, rookie wide receiver Adam Humphries helped himself with a four-catch performance. His +1.5 grade in the passing game topped the team’s receivers this week.

— Cornerback Alterraun Verner made the most of his brief chance at a final tune-up for the regular season. Playing just 11 snaps, Verner was targeted twice and knocked away both passes.

— Bucs quarterback Mike Glennon was perfect when throwing between the numbers (8/8, 104 yards), but didn’t have the same luck when looking left, going 0-for-4 with two interceptions.

Top Performers:

S Keith Tandy (+2.8)

LB Khaseem Greene (+2.3)

C Jeremiah Warren (+2.2)

CB Alterraun Verner (+2.1)

WR Adam Humphries (+1.5)

Dolphins:

— Miami cornerback Will Davis picked off as many passes as he allowed, hauling in a pair of interceptions while giving up two catches on seven balls into his coverage.

— Getting in for 11 snaps of late-game run defense, linebacker Spencer Paysinger logged four tackles, including two consecutive plays that qualified as defensive stops.

— Looking for a bright spot in the Dolphins’ otherwise forgettable QB play on Thursday, McLeod Bethel-Thompson performed well when pressured. On six dropbacks with the rush closing in, he ran once and was sacked once, but completed all four of the throws he managed to get off.

Top Performers:

C Sam Brenner (+3.9)

LB Spencer Paysinger (+2.7)

CB Will Davis (+1.3)

LB Chris McClain (+1.2)

DT DeAndre Coleman (+1.0)
