Foster and Lynch game-time decisions in Week 4

We have a lot to cover in this Sunday morning accelerated injury update, and not much time to do it. After all, the first game starts at 8:30 AM CST. A lot of fantasy-relevant players remain to be game-time decisions, and they include: Marshawn Lynch, Eric Decker, Andre Ellington, and Arian Foster.

As a reminder, there are five status designations players can have: active, probable, questionable, doubtful and out. The active and out designations are self-explanatory. The probable designation signifies a player has a greater than 50 percent chance of being active for the game. Questionable means the player essentially has a 50-50 chance of playing. Doubtful means the player has less than a 25 percent chance of playing.

Quarterbacks

Andrew Luck has been dealing with a sore shoulder all week. His actual diagnosis is unknown. He was a limited practice participant throughout the week. He is officially listed as questionable. However, Coach Chuck Pagano said he is “supremely confident” Luck will play in Week 4.

Luck has barely thrown this week. Similar to Drew Brees’ status last week, Luck’s ability to play will come down to his functionality. If he is able to throw the ball with sufficient velocity with minimal-to-no pain, he will play. Coach Chuck Pagano seems convinced he could. Luck will be a game-time decision. Update: ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Luck will be out this week. Matt Hasselbeck is expected to get the start against the Jaguars.
