Three low-ADP QBs with fantasy starter potential

The NFL draft is in the can. OTAs are off and running. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ first-round pick is out with a knee injury (sad, but true). This may be my first article as a PFF writer, but the 2016 season is in full swing.

When it comes to quarterbacks, the top guys are pretty established. Cam Newton’s irrational rushing stats cemented his rightful place at the top of our rankings. Russell Wilson came on strong at the end of the 2015 season. And no matter how many times fantasy talking heads try to count them out, Tom Brady and Drew Brees refuse to disappear.

The problem, of course, is that to get the guys we all know will be the best fantasy quarterbacks, you have to pay for the guys we all know will be the best fantasy quarterbacks.

Instead, here are three quarterbacks primed to outscore their ADP and four statistical reasons why. If you’re the kind of fantasy player that likes to stream their quarterbacks, these players could very well help bring you a fantasy championship. These guys might have tasted success in the past, but they aren't getting enough fantasy respect heading into the 2016 season.

Each of the guys below currently has an ADP outside the top 12 at the position according to FantasyFootballCalculator.

Andy Dalton (ADP: 113 overall; No. 13 QB)

  1. Prior to his thumb injury in 2015, Andy Dalton scored fantasy points left and right. In fact, he scored .59 points per drop back, tied with Tyrod Taylor for third most in the league right behind Cam Newton and Russell Wilson.
