The weekly offensive snap report is a summary of the participation data for each team's running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. Although the main focus is snaps, we also cover other important categories like pass routes and designed runs.
All 16 Week 15 Games Now Added
Falcons 41, Jaguars 14
After building a large lead, the Falcons were able to rest quite a few players in their Week 15 win. Roddy White and Julio Jones still led the offensive attack, with 50 and 49 snaps played, respectively. Harry Douglas was in on 32 plays. Kerry Meier picked up 16 and Eric Weems saw 14. Tony Gonzalez’s 47 snaps led the tight ends. Michael Palmer worked 26 plays and Reggie Kelly saw 19. Michael Turner carried the ball on 19 of his 30 snaps. Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling each handled 22 plays.
With Mike Thomas and Cecil Shorts out, Jarett Dillard (41 snaps) and Chastin West (39) paced the offensive attack. Taylor Price made his Jaguars debut with 21 snaps. Kassim Osgood was in on seven plays. Marcedes Lewis’ 38 snaps led the tight ends. Colin Cloherty was in on 13 plays and Zach Potter worked 11. Maurice Jones-Drew led the backs with 29 snaps. DuJuan Harris managed 14.
Cowboys 31, Bucs 15
Jason Witten was in on all 69 snaps to lead Dallas’ offense in this one. Martellus Bennett returned to action with 33 snaps played. John Phillips worked two. Miles Austin’s 62 snaps led the wide receivers. Dez Bryant was in on 46 plays and Laurent Robinson handled 34. Kevin Ogletree helped out on three plays. Felix Jones’ 40 snaps led the backs. Sammy Morris chipped in on 25 plays in his Cowboys’ debut.
Despite not seeing a single target, Mike Williams led the Bucs’ offense with 39 snaps played, missing only four on the night. He ran all 33 possible pass routes. Dez Briscoe filled in for an injured Arrelious Benn with 36 snaps. Preston Parker worked 28 snaps and Micheal Spurlock managed 10. Kregg Lumpkin’s 25 snaps led the backs and all 25 were pass plays. LeGarrette Blount was only in on 13 plays, nine of which resulted in a carry. Mossis Madu worked five snaps. Kellen Winslow paced the tight ends with 34 snaps. Luke Stocker was in on 14 plays and Zach Pianalto worked two.
Seahawks 38, Bears 14
Zach Miller’s 57 snaps led the Seattle offense in Week 15. Cam Morrah was in on 17 plays and Anthony McCoy worked 15. Golden Tate led the wideouts with 51 snaps. Ben Obomanu managed 40 plays, while Doug Baldwin handled 29. Mike Williams (16 snaps) and Deon Butler (14) saw limited action. Marshawn Lynch’s 40 snaps easily led the backs. Justin Forsett worked 19 plays and Leon Washington was in on five.
Roy Williams led the Bears’ offensive attack with 51 Week 15 snaps. Earl Bennett stepped up, as well, with Johnny Knox suffering a season-ending injury after four snaps. Bennett worked 51 plays. With Devin Hester also limited (three snaps), Dane Sanzenbacher managed 27 plays. Kellen Davis led the tight ends with 46 snaps played. Matt Spaeth worked 30 snaps. Kahlil Bell led the backs with 43 snaps. Marion Barber was in on just 17 plays.
Colts 27, Titans 13
Reggie Wayne led the Colts’ offense by playing all 51 snaps this week. Pierre Garcon was in on 45 plays and Austin Collie worked 18. Anthony Gonzalez helped out on four plays. Dallas Clark was out and the Colts actually had a lead for once, which meant Clark and Collie’s snaps were replaced by tight ends. Jacob Tamme was in on 37 plays and Brody Eldridge worked 25. Anthony Hill entered on five snaps. Donald Brown led the backs with 27 snaps. Joe Addai was in on 24 snaps and Delone Carter saw three.
Damian Williams worked 75 of a possible 76 offensive snaps to lead the Titans’ offense in Week 15. Nate Washington was in on 68 plays and Lavelle Hawkins handled 54. Hawkins actually ran one more pass route than Washington (51-to-50), which means that the Titans called a pass on a ridiculous 51 of Hawkins’ 54 snaps. Marc Mariani helped out on six plays. Jared Cook ran 53 pass routes (second to only Williams) on his 58 snaps. Craig Stevens was in on 26 plays and Daniel Graham managed four. Chris Johnson paced the tight ends with 58 snaps and saw 26 looks. Jamie Harper entered the game for nine plays. Four Titans’ saw double-digit targets (Washington, Johnson, Cook, Hawkins).
Redskins 23, Giants 10
New starting tight end Logan Paulsen led the Redskins’ offense with 61 snaps played in Week 15. He ran only 16 pass routes. Dominique Byrd worked nine snaps and Richard Quinn handled five. Santana Moss was in on 43 plays to lead the wide receivers. Jabar Gaffney managed 37 snaps and Donte’ Stallworth added 31. Anthony Armstrong helped out on 23 plays. Niles Paul (10 snaps), Terrence Austin (four), and Brandon Banks (one) picked up the scraps. Roy Helu’s 50 snaps paced the backs. FB Darrel Young handled 36 snaps and Evan Royster was in on 15 plays.
Hakeem Nicks worked 58 snaps to lead the Giants’ wide receivers this week. Victor Cruz was in on 55 plays and Mario Manningham managed 27. Ramses Barden chipped in on 13 plays. Jake Ballard lasted only 20 snaps before suffering a knee injury. Bear Pascoe stepped in with 43 snaps with Travis Beckum also out. Ahmad Bradshaw’s 42 snaps led the backs. Brandon Jacobs and Danny Ware each worked 10 snaps.
Bengals 20, Rams 13
Jermaine Gresham led the Bengals’ offense in Week 15 with 60 snaps played. Donald Lee was in on 25 plays and Colin Cochart worked 20. Jerome Simpson led the wide receivers with 48 snaps. AJ Green missed a few snaps due to injury, but still was in on 44 plays. Ryan Whalen took advantage of Andre Caldwell’s deactivation by racking up 21 snaps. Andrew Hawkins was in on 19 plays. Cedric Benson’s 40 snaps led the backs. Bernard Scott was involved on nine plays and Cedric Peerman saw eight.
Steven Jackson worked 55 of a possible 63 snaps to lead the Rams’ offense this week. Cadillac Williams was in on six plays and Jerious Norwood handled two. Lance Kendricks managed 49+ snaps for the third time in four weeks, this week with 55. Billy Bajema was in on 33 plays and Stephen Spach worked nine. Brandon Lloyd and Austin Pettis each handled 49 snaps to lead the wide receivers. Danario Alexander was in on 41 plays and Brandon Gibson racked up 15. Dominique Curry added only one.
Saints 42, Vikings 20
Devery Henderson led the Saints’ offensive attack this week with 55 snaps played. Marques Colston was in on 54 plays and Robert Meachem worked 44. Despite scoring another pair of touchdowns, Lance Moore saw the field for only 31 plays. He ran one more pass route than Meachem, but still tied for fourth on the team in that category with 21. Jimmy Graham’s 45 snaps led the tight ends. John Gilmore worked 35 plays. Mark Ingram was still out, allowing 30 snaps a piece for Chris Ivory and Darren Sproles. Pierre Thomas was in on 21 plays.
Devin Aromashodu led the offense again this week, this time with 38 snaps played. Percy Harvin was in on 31 snaps and Greg Camarillo handled 26, 25 of which were passes. Joe Webb was in for 15 plays and Emmanuel Arceneaux worked 10 in his NFL debut. For the first time this season, Kyle Rudolph worked more snaps than Visanthe Shiancoe. Considering that Shiancoe is an impeding unrestricted free agent, the 36-to-35 margin is worth noting and makes this a situation to monitor. Jim Kleinsasser was in on 22 plays. Despite returning to the lineup, Adrian Peterson was in the game for only 21 plays. Toby Gerhart handled 23 and Lorenzo Booker saw six.
Patriots 41, Broncos 23
As has been the case over the last couple of weeks, the “tight ends” are dominating the offensive snaps for New England. Traditional TE Rob Gronkowski was in on 70 of a possible 72 snaps this week, while Aaron Hernandez – who is really a wide receiver – was in on 68 plays. Wes Welker led the wide receivers with 66 snaps. With Deion Branch out, Chad Ochocinco worked 48 snaps, compared to 13 for Tiquan Underwood. Julian Edelman was in on three plays. Danny Woodhead’s 24 snaps led the backs. BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Stevan Ridley each worked 19 snaps and Kevin Faulk handled eight.
Demaryius Thomas was in on 55 of a possible 58 snaps to lead the Denver offense this week. Eric Decker worked 54 snaps and Eddie Royal returned to action with 28. Matt Willis helped out on 19 plays. Daniel Fells led the tight ends with 34 snaps. Dante Rosario was in on 20 plays and Virgil Green worked 16. Lance Ball took advantage of an early Willis McGahee injury by racking up 42 snaps. McGahee saw only 11, while Jeremiah Johnson worked three.
Cardinals 20, Browns 17
Larry Fitzgerald led the Cardinals’ offense by playing all 74 snaps this week. Andre Roberts missed only a pair and Early Doucet worked 48. Chansi Stuckey chipped in on four plays. Todd Heap’s 39 snaps led the tight ends. Jeff King was in on 27 plays and Rob Housler helped out on 14. Jim Dray saw only one snap. Beanie Wells led the backs with 36 snaps played. Chester Taylor was called on 24 times and LaRod Stephens-Howling managed 12. Alfonso Smith saw his first action since week 12, but it was only one snap.
Greg Little missed only two of the teams 62 snaps in Week 15. Mohamed Massaquoi worked 52 plays. Josh Cribbs was in on 24 plays and Jordan Norwood handled 19. Peyton Hillis’ 56 snaps paced the backfield. Chris Ogbonnaya was in on five plays and Montario Hardesty did not play. With Ben Watson done for the year, Alex Smith stepped into 35 snaps, blocking on all but eight of them. Evan Moore was involved on 31 plays, running a TE-leading 16 pass routes. Jordan Cameron worked 12 snaps.
Chargers 34, Ravens 14
Antonio Gates led the Chargers’ offense with 53 snaps played this week. Randy McMichael was in on 45 plays and Kory Sperry worked 15. Vincent Jackson’s 43 snaps led the wide receivers. Malcom Floyd handled 33 plays and Patrick Crayton was in on 20. Vincent Brown saw only six snaps this week. Ryan Mathews’ 42 snaps easily led the backs. Mike Tolbert was involved on 18 plays.
Anquan Boldin led the Ravens’ offense this week with 55 snaps played. Torrey Smith was in on 53 plays, while Lee Evans handled 35. Ed Dickson’s 41 snaps led the tight ends. Dennis Pitta was worked in on 24 plays and Kris Wilson saw one snap. Ray Rice led the backs with 43 snaps. Ricky Williams was in on only eight plays.
Eagles 45, Jets 19
Jeremy Maclin was in on 46 of a possible 58 snaps to lead the Eagles’ offense in Week 15. Jason Avant handled 43 snaps, while a limited DeSean Jackson managed 34. Riley Cooper helped out on 22 plays and Chad Hall worked five. Brent Celek’s 43 snaps led the tight ends. Clay Harbor was in on 23 plays. LeSean McCoy paced the backs with 43 snaps. Ronnie Brown handled 11 and Dion Lewis racked up three.
The Jets’ offense was led by a pair of wide receivers this week. Santonio Holmes was in on 53 of a possible 61 plays to lead the way. Plaxico Burress was managed 46 snaps. Also chipping it at wideout were Jeremy Kerley (25 snaps) and Patrick Turner (10). Dustin Keller’s 45 snaps led the tight ends. Matt Mulligan worked 26 snaps and Josh Baker handled four. Shonn Greene led the backs with 35 snaps played. LaDainian Tomlinson was in on 20 plays and Joe McKnight managed seven.
Lions 28, Raiders 27
Calvin Johnson’s 71 snaps led the Lions’ offense this week. Nate Burleson worked 63 played, while Titus Young saw 57. As usual, Rashied Davis (six snaps), Stefan Logan (five), and Maurice Stovall (two) saw limited action. Brandon Pettigrew paced the tight ends with 70 snaps played. Will Heller was in on 16 plays and Tony Scheffler saw 10. Kevin Smith dominated the backfield snaps with 63. Keiland Williams and Maurice Morris saw one each.
Michael Bush worked 61 snaps to lead the Raiders’ offense this week. Marcel Reece was in on 14 plays and Manase Tonga handled 12. Darrius Heyward-Bey’s 57 snaps led the wide receivers. Chaz Schilens was in on 33 plays and Denarius Moore returned to action with 31 snaps. TJ Houshmandzadeh managed 27 snaps and Louis Murphy was in on 21 plays. Kevin Boss led the tight ends with 53 snaps. Brandon Myers (10 snaps), Richard Gordon (three) and David Ausberry (one) saw limited action at the position.
Panthers 28, Texans 13
Steve Smith carried the Panthers’ offense this week with 51 snaps played. Brandon LaFell was in on 49 plays, compared to 27 for Legedu Naanee. Armanti Edwards was worked in on four snaps and rookie Kealoha Pilares handled four. Greg Olsen’s 46 snaps led the tight ends, but Jeremy Shockey was just behind with 39. Ben Hartsock provided a block on his two snaps. Jonathan Stewart worked 34 snaps to lead the backs. DeAngelo Williams was in on 30 plays.
Jacoby Jones led the Texans’ offense this week with 51 snaps played. Kevin Walter was in on 45 plays. Bryant Johnson worked 24. Owen Daniels’ 50 snaps led the tight ends. Joel Dreessen was in on 30 plays and James Casey handled four. Arian Foster paced the backs with 40 snaps this week. Ben Tate was in on 17 plays.
49ers 20, Steelers 3
Vernon Davis racked up 59 snaps to lead the 49ers’ offensive attack in Week 15. Delanie Walker was in on 39 plays and Justin Peelle handled four. Frank Gore’s 48 snaps led the backs. Kendall Hunter entered the game for seven plays and Anthony Dixon saw six. Michael Crabtree paced the wide receivers with 41 snaps played. Kyle Williams handled 34 snaps and Ted Ginn worked 26. Brett Swain was in on nine plays. Braylon Edwards was a healthy scratch.
Mike Wallace worked 65 of a possible 66 snaps on Monday night to lead the Steelers’ offense. Antonio Brown was in on 59 plays and Jerricho Cotchery handled 54. Despite the Steelers’ throwing the ball a ton and Emmanuel Sanders sitting out with an injury, Hines Ward was on the field for only nine snaps. Heath Miller paced the tight ends with 63 snaps. Weslye Saunders was in on only four. Rashard Mendenhall’s 29 snaps led the backs. Isaac Redman was just behind, working 25 snaps, 21 of which were pass plays. Mewelde Moore added 11 snaps.
Chiefs 19, Packers 14
Anthony Becht led the Chiefs’ offense this week by racking up 61 snaps. Leonard Pope was in on 38 plays. Steve Breaston led the wide receivers by handling 53 of a possible 70 snaps. Dwayne Bowe was in on 48 plays and Jon Baldwin worked 21. Terrance Copper managed 16. The backs were led by Le’Ron McClain, who was in on 42 plays. Thomas Jones worked 31 snaps, compared to 24 for Jackie Battle. Dexter McCluster was involved on only 13 plays.
With Greg Jennings sidelined, Jordy Nelson led the Packers’ offense by playing all 56 snaps this week. James Jones was in on 41 plays and Randall Cobb saw a career-high 34 snaps. Donald Driver worked 22 plays. Jermichael Finley paced the tight ends with 46 snaps played and easily led the team in targets with 10. Tom Crabtree was worked in on 18 plays. Ryan Taylor (four snaps) and DJ Williams (three) saw limited action. Ryan Grant and John Kuhn were the only backs used and each managed 31 snaps.
Dolphins 30, Bills 23
Anthony Fasano worked 53 snaps to lead the Miami offense this week. Charles Clay racked up 28 snaps and Will Yeatman was in on 11 plays. Brandon Marshall’s 52 snaps led the wide receivers. Brian Hartline handled 42 plays and Davone Bess was in on 29. Clyde Gates (10 snaps) and Julius Pruitt (three) also saw action. Reggie Bush led the backs with 25 carries and 42 snaps played. Daniel Thomas worked 21 plays and Lex Hilliard managed seven.
Brad Smith led the Bills’ wide receivers by playing 66 of a possible 69 snaps this week. David Nelson was in on 57 plays and Derek Hagan worked 54. Stevie Johnson missed some snaps with an injury, but still played 51. Ruvell Martin was worked in on 20 plays. CJ Spiller’s 51 snaps led the backs. Tashard Choice was in on 20 plays. Lee Smith’s 20 snaps led the tight ends, but he’s now done for the year with an injury. Mike Caussin added five snaps.
