The weekly offensive snap report is a summary of the participation data for each team's running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. Although the main focus is snaps, we also cover other important categories like pass routes and designed runs.
All 14 Week 11 Games Now Added
Broncos 17, Jets 13
Eric Decker led the Broncos’ offensive attack with 51 offensive snaps. Eddie Royal followed with 41 and Demaryius Thomas was on the field for 28 plays. Matt Willis handled only six. Daniel Fells missed some action with an injury, allowing him only 29 snaps. Virgil Green stepped up and into a 31-snap evening. Dante Rosario saw 19 snaps. Lance Ball’s 24 snaps were enough to lead the backfield. Willis McGahee ran the ball on 12 of his 20 snaps. Jeremiah Johnson handled 12 snaps.
For the ninth time in ten games this season, Santonio Holmes paced the Jets’ wide receivers in snaps, this week with 68. Plaxico Burress was next with 64. Jeremy Kerley was out, allowing 37 snaps for Patrick Turner. Eron Riley added three. Dustin Keller’s 58 snaps led the tight ends. Matthew Mulligan was in on 26 plays and Josh Baker saw one snap. LaDainian Tomlinson was out with an injury and Shonn Greene was knocked out of action after only seven snaps. This allowed Joe McKnight a season-high 45 snaps after he had played only 30 all season coming into the game. Bilal Powell helped out with 18 snaps.
Lions 49, Panthers 35
Brandon Pettigrew’s 66-snap day in Week 11 was enough to pace the Lions’ offense. Will Heller was in on 23 snaps and Tony Scheffler handled 22. Calvin Johnson paced the wide receivers with 63 snaps. Nate Burleson was just behind at 57 and Titus Young racked up 34. Rashied Davis (six), Maurice Stovall (four), and Stefan Logan (two) also saw some action. The backfield was led by a revitalized Kevin Smith, who handled 44 snaps. Maurice Morris saw only 13 snaps and Keiland Williams managed only one.
Steve Smith’s 66 snaps led the Panthers’ Week 11 offensive attack. Legedu Naanee was next up among wideouts with 61 snaps. With Jeremy Shockey out, Brandon LaFell saw an increased worked to the tune of 45 snaps. Seyi Ajirotutu was in on two plays. Greg Olsen led the tight ends with 66 snaps, while Ben Hartsock added a season-high 12. Jonathan Stewart’s 39 snaps and six targets led the backs. DeAngelo Williams managed a RB-high 10 carries on 25 snaps.
Raiders 27, Vikings 21
Darren McFadden was still out of action, which meant another big day for Michael Bush. The impeding free agent saw 63 snaps, well ahead of Taiwan Jones’ three. Marcel Reece actually saw more carries than Jones (6-to-2) and played 46 snaps. The wideouts were led by Denarius Moore’s 51 snaps. Darrius Heyward-Bey was in on 50 snaps before suffering a head/neck injury that ended his day early. Louis Murphy racked up 25 snaps, while Chaz Schilens handled 16 and TJ Houshmandzadeh added 11. Kevin Boss paced the tight ends with 49 snaps, a season-high for him. Brandon Myers was in on 20 plays.
Michael Jenkins’ led the Minnesota wide receivers with a 53-snap day in Week 11. Devin Aromashodu was in on 45 plays and Percy Harvin handled 42 snaps. Greg Camarillo chipped in on eight snaps. Visanthe Shiancoe paced the tight ends with 46 snaps. Kyle Rudolph was in on 23 plays. Adrian Peterson suffered an early-game injury, limiting him to just 16 snaps. Toby Gerhart filled in 38 snaps and Lorenzo Booker saw only one.
Ravens 31, Bengals 24
Ed Dickson led the Ravens’ offense with a 50-snap afternoon in Week 11. Dennis Pitta was in on 31 plays. He didn’t see much of a decline in snaps despite the return of Lee Evans, who handled only 10 plays, all of which were passes. Speaking of wide receivers, Anquan Boldin paced the unit with 49 snaps and Torrey Smith was in on 41 plays. Ray Rice enjoyed 30 looks on his 44 snaps, which means he was utilized on a whopping 68.1% of his snaps. Ricky Williams added 11 snaps.
A.J. Green was out of action, which left Andre Caldwell (76 snaps) and Jerome Simpson (75) to carry the offensive workload at wide receiver. Andrew Hawkins ran a pass route on 39 of his 48 snaps. Hawkins had played a total of 32 snaps on the season entering the game. Brandon Tate saw only two snaps. Jermaine Gresham made it through back-to-back games with his health, this time playing 72 snaps. Colin Cochart filled in for Donald Lee with 25 snaps. Brian Leonard paced the backs with 36 snaps, 34 of which were pass plays. Cedric Benson sat quite a bit with Cincinnati playing from behind, but still managed 29 snaps. Bernard Scott was in action on 16 plays.
Cowboys 27, Redskins 24
Jason Witten led the Dallas offense by handling 72 of a possible 73 Week 11 snaps. Martellus Bennett and John Phillips were each in on 43 plays. Laurent Robinson led the wide receivers in snaps for the second consecutive week, this time with 66 snaps. Dez Bryant was in on 53 plays. Kevin Ogletree (16 snaps) and Jesse Holley (one) picked up the scraps. DeMarco Murray dominated the backfield snaps with 51, easily ousting now-healthy Felix Jones’ 20. Jones ran nine pass routes and 15 of his snaps were pass plays.
Fred Davis skipped only one snap this week, which allowed him to lead the Washington offense. Logan Paulsen handled 21 snaps. Jabar Gaffney led the wide receivers, managing 61 of a possible 65 snaps. Donte’ Stallworth, who was waived and re-signed by the Redskins during the last two weeks, was next with 40 snaps played. Slot man David Anderson – another player recently added to the fold – handled 36 snaps. Anthony Armstrong racked up 25 snaps and Terrence Austin was in on two plays. Roy Helu’s 35 snaps paced the backfield. Ryan Torain was in on 18 plays and Tashard Choice handled nine.
49ers 23, Cardinals 7
Vernon Davis led the 49ers offense in Week 11 with an 83 snap effort. It was easily a season-high, but only because the team ran a ridiculous 87 offensive plays. Delanie Walker gave the offense a rare one-two tight end punch at the top of the offensive snap board. He was in on 65 plays, while Justin Peelle handled 37. Michael Crabtree’s 60 snaps led the wide receivers. Kyle Williams was in on 33 plays, compared to 32 for Braylon Edwards and 17 for Ted Ginn. Williams ran just 10 pass routes, however, compared to 21 for Edwards. Frank Gore handled 60 snaps to lead the backfield. Kendall Hunter was in the game on 19 plays and Anthony Dixon ran the ball on all seven of his snaps.
Larry Fitzgerald’s 48 snaps were enough to lead the Cardinals’ offense this week. Andre Roberts was just behind at 47 and Early Doucet was in on 37 plays. DeMarco Sampson got the call as the No. 4 wideout, handling 26 snaps. He played ahead of Chansi Stuckey (two snaps). Chester Taylor’s 26 snaps led the backs. Beanie Wells saw only 18 plays and LaRod Stephens-Howling was involved on four plays. Rob Housler and Todd Heap were out again, allowing Jim Dray and Jeff King to split 25 snaps down the middle as evenly as possible.
Bears 31, Chargers 20
The Bears’ offense was led by tight end Kellen Davis and his 52 snaps. Matt Spaeth was in on 30 plays. Roy Williams handled 46 snaps to lead the wide receivers. Earl Bennett was next with 41, just ahead of Johnny Knox’s 32. Dane Sanzenbacher saw 12 snaps and Sam Hurd managed nine. Still limited, Devin Hester was in on just three plays. Matt Forte easily edged Marion Barber in snaps by a margin of 51 to 12.
Vincent Jackson did not miss a snap in Week 11, handling all 48. Vincent Brown was just behind at 41 snaps, well ahead of Patrick Crayton’s eight. Antonio Gates paced the tight ends with 47 snaps. Randy McMichael handled 31 and Kory Sperry was involved on two plays. Ryan Mathews enjoyed 15 looks in this game, but they came on just 25 snaps. Mike Tolbert was in on 23 snaps, 19 of which were pass plays.
Eagles 17, Giants 10
With Jeremy Maclin injured and out of action, the Eagles’ offense was paced in snaps by Riley Cooper, who was in on 66 of a possible 70 snaps. DeSean Jackson missed a few plays due to injury, but still managed 57 snaps. Jason Avant was in on 41 plays, while Steve Smith added only seven. Chad Hall was signed off the Practice Squad last week and was in on eight plays. Brent Celek’s 65 snaps led the tight ends. Clay Harbor was in on 31 plays. LeSean McCoy easily paced the backfield with 61 snaps. Ronnie Brown managed five snaps and Dion Lewis saw one.
Hakeem Nicks was involved on all 55 offensive snaps for the Giants in this one. Mario Manningham was in on 47 plays and Victor Cruz handled 36, 32 of which were pass plays. As usual, Michael Clayton (two snaps), Ramses Barden (one), and Devin Thomas (one) picked up the scraps. Jake Ballard’s 50 snaps paced the tight ends. Bear Pascoe handled 22 in is hybrid FB/TE role. Travis Beckum was in on two plays. Ahmad Bradshaw is still out, allowing Brandon Jacobs to rack up 32 snaps. Danny Ware was in on 18 plays and Da’Rel Scott saw a season-high five snaps.
Packers 35, Buccaneers 26
Jermichael Finley led the Packers’ offensive effort with a 46-snap day. Andrew Quarless managed 20 snaps as the No. 2 tight end. Tom Crabtree saw 18 snaps. A minor injury held Greg Jennings to a still-respectable 37 snaps. Jordy Nelson led the wideouts with 38 snaps and Donald Driver handled 27. Randall Cobb was next with 19 and James Jones was involved on 15 plays. James Starks’ 32 snaps led the backfield. Ryan Grant saw only 14 snaps and has recorded his two lowest snap totals of the season over his last three games.
Mike Williams’ 11-target day came on an offense-leading 58 snaps. Arrelious Benn played a season-high 45 snaps, his highest total since Week 3. Preston Parker was in on 24 snaps, while Dezmon Briscoe managed 17 and Sam Stroughter added 12. Kellen Winslow also had 11 targets and his came on 43 snaps. Luke Stocker was in on 23 plays and Zach Pianalto handled just one. LeGarrette Blount’s 35 snaps led the backs. Kregg Lumpkin pass blocked on 20 of his 25 snaps.
Browns 14, Jaguars 10
It was Chris Ogbonnaya leading the Browns’ offensive attack in Week 11 with 51 snaps played. Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty are still out due to injury. Thomas Clayton added only two snaps. Greg Little dominated the wide receiver snaps with 51. Josh Cribbs was in on 30 and Mohamed Massaquoi returned to action with 26. Jordan Norwood handled 17 snaps. The tight ends were led by a 44-snap effort from Ben Watson. Alex Smith was in on 17 plays and Evan Moore saw 13.
Marcedes Lewis was in action on 64 of a possible 71 snaps in Week 11, which led the Jaguars’ offense. Zach Potter managed 27 snaps. Maurice Jones-Drew paced the backs with 59 snaps, allowing only eight for Deji Karim and four for Montell Owens. Mike Thomas’ 50 snaps led the wide receivers. Jason Hill and Jarett Dillard each chipped in with 41, most of which were pass plays. Chastin West (21 snaps) and Kassim Osgood (11) also saw some action.
Falcons 23, Titans 17
Tony Gonzalez handled 63 snaps for Atlanta in Week 11 to lead the offensive attack. Michael Palmer was in on 13 plays and Reggie Kelly handled eight. Roddy White’s 61 snaps were enough to lead the wide receivers. Eric Weems (54 snaps) and Harry Douglas (53) helped fill in for injured Julio Jones. Douglas has now played 35 more snaps than Jones on the season. Kerry Meier added four snaps. Michael Turner’s 44 snaps easily paced the backs. Jason Snelling was in on 19 plays and Jacquizz Rodgers handled 14. Rodgers has played 196 snaps to Snelling’s 163 on the season.
Damian Williams enjoyed 11 targets during a 58-snap Week 11. He led the offense in both categories. Nate Washington had the more productive day, but was in on six fewer plays. Lavelle Hawkins was next among wide receivers with 48 snaps. Marc Mariani saw action on four plays and Donnie Avery did not play. Jared Cook’s 45 snaps led the tight ends, 37 of which were pass plays. Craig Stevens was in on 16 snaps and Daniel Graham handled four. Chris Johnson paced the backs with 36 snaps. Javon Ringer was in on 23 plays, all 23 of which were pass plays.
Patriots 34, Chiefs 3
Rob Gronkowski racked up 62 snaps in Week 11, two of which resulted in a touchdown. Aaron Hernandez was in on 53 plays. Wes Welker led the wide receivers with 54 snaps. Deion Branch was in on 39 plays despite missing a handful of snaps early on in the game. Chad Ochocinco’s 11 snaps just beat our Taylor Price’s 10 and Julian Edelman’s 10, but it’s worth noting that Ochocinco ran 10 pass routes, while Price/Edelman combined for one. BenJarvus Green-Ellis led the backers with 33 snaps, 20 of which were carries. Danny Woodhead was in on 23 plays. Shane Vereen (nine snaps) played over Stevan Ridley (zero).
The Chiefs’ offense was paced by Dwayne Bowe’s 66 snaps. He missed only one play. Steve Breaston handled 63 snaps and Jonathan Baldwin was in on a 47. Baldwin has now played 102 snaps over the last two weeks. Dexter McCluster was in on 37 plays, 28 of which were pass plays. Jerheme Urban was active and racked up 12 snaps. Jeremy Horne was in on just two plays. The tight ends were led by Leonard Pope’s 33 snaps. Jake O’Connell was in on 25 plays, 22 of which were pass plays. Le’Ron McClain’s 17 snaps were enough to lead the backfield, but he mostly blocked as usual. Thomas Jones led the tailbacks not named Dexter with 17 snaps. Jackie Battle was in on only 13 plays.
Seahawks 24, Rams 7
Zach Miller paced the offense in snaps again this week, this time with 57. Anthony McCoy was in on 35 plays and Cam Morrah handled four. Sidney Rice led the wideouts with 40 snaps. Golden Tate, interestingly, was just behind at 36 snaps, but spent 24 of them run blocking. Mike Williams (31 snaps), Doug Baldwin (25), and Ben Obomanu (24) also saw plenty of action. Marshawn Lynch led the backfield with 43 snaps. Justin Forsett was in on 11 plays and Leon Washington managed seven snaps.
Steven Jackson led the Rams’ offensive attack by playing all 62 snaps – a rarity for a running back. Cadillac Williams and Jerious Norwood did not contribute on offense. Brandon Lloyd led the wide receivers with 59 snaps. Slot man Austin Pettis was next at 50 snaps. Brandon Gibson was in on 46 plays and Mark Clayton handled a season-high 26, 25 of which were pass plays. Lance Kendricks was back and led the tight ends with 23 snaps and three targets. Billy Bajema was in on 19 plays and Stephen Spach saw 16.
Dolphins 35, Bills 8
Anthony Fasano led the Dolphins' offensive attack with 48 snaps played in Week 11. Jeron Mastrud was in on 20 plays. Brandon Marshall paced the wide receivers with 33 snaps. Brian Hartline handled 29 snaps and Davone Bess was in on 27 plays. Clyde Gates racked up 16. Reggie Bush led the running backs in snaps with 32. Daniel Thomas was in on 27 plays and Lex Hilliard chipped in on 23 snaps. H-Back Charles Clay managed 23 snaps.
Steve Johnson's 56 snaps led the Bills' offensive attack. Donald Jones left the game injured after just eight snaps and is done for the season. Replacing him was Naaman Roosevelt, who handled 47 snaps. Ruvell Martin chipped in on 35 plays and an ill David Nelson managed 26. Brad Smith was involved on 12 plays. Fred Jackson led the tailbacks with 44 snaps and CJ Spiller handled 26. Johnny White stepped into 12 snaps with Jackson nursing an injury. Scott Chandler's 48 snaps led the tight ends. Mike Caussin was in on six plays.
