Heading into kickoff time, a few fantasy relevant players remain to be game-time decisions. They include: Danny Amendola, Heath Miller, and Michael Floyd. The following is a Sunday morning accelerated update on all of the top fantasy-relevant injury news.
As a reminder, there are five status designations players can have: active, probable, questionable, doubtful and out. The active and out designations are self-explanatory. The probable designation signifies a player has a greater than 50 percent chance of being active for the game. Questionable means the player essentially has a 50-50 chance of playing. Doubtful means the player has less than a 25 percent chance of playing.
Note: Below, if I refer to an injury that I’ve previously described in detail, I’ll provide a link to that past article.
Players already declared out include: Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Ryan Mathews, Karlos Williams, Dexter McCluster, Marshawn Lynch, Toby Gerhart, Carlos Hyde, Andre Ellington, Allen Hurns, Rishard Matthews, Marquess Wilson, Phillip Dorsett, Paul Richardson, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Larry Donnell, Tony Moeaki, and Matt Bryant.
Players listed as doubtful who aren’t expected to play: Taiwan Jones, Willie Snead, Marlon Brown, Tyler Eifert, and Greg Zuerlein.
Players listed as probable who will likely see their usual workloads include: Philip Rivers, Tyrod Taylor, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, Brock Osweiler, Mark Ingram, Alfred Blue, Jay Ajayi, Ronnie Hillman, Spencer Ware, KaDeem Carey, DeAndre Hopkins, Martavis Bryant, Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, Jarvis Landry, Eric Decker, John Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, Vincent Jackson, Anquan Boldin, Marques Colston, Corey Brown, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Chris Conley, Cody Latimer, Bruce Ellington, Travis Kelce, Martellus Bennett, Zach Ertz, Owen Daniels, Ladarius Green, Anthony Fasano, Blake Bell, Marcedes Lewis, Dion Sims, Virgil Green, and Jason Myers.
These players’ injury situations warrant a closer look this morning:
Quarterbacks
Ben Roethlisberger suffered a concussion in Week 12. He flew through the NFL concussion protocol, practiced fully this week, and was cleared to play by an independent neurologist. He is listed as probable for tonight’s game. I expect him to have a full workload, and have a huge game. He’s a high-end QB1 this week.
