This week is either a playoff week, or the final showdown before the postseason kicks off next week. Either way, if you’re still debating who to start and sit in Week 14, that means you’re still playing for something, so congratulations on making it this far.
For most fantasy owners, this week is obviously a true “must win” situation. Extra work needs to be put in to insure that you have the perfect lineup to give your squad the best chance you can to move on to Week 15.
Here are some players and tips that might give you that edge when it comes to knowing which matchups are advantageous, and which could be problematic. If you’ve made it this far, it’s time to wrap up one more week, and move one step closer to that title.
Start
Quarterbacks
Jameis Winston, Buccaneers (vs. New Orleans) – Winston may be a rookie, but in many regards, he’s playing like a seasoned veteran. From a fantasy perspective, Winston has been remarkably consistent. By scoring at least 15.4 fantasy points in all 12 games, he’s had no “dud” games all year. Winston has produced multiple touchdowns in seven of those contests, and is averaging only one turnover per game- impressive for a rookie quarterback. For Week 14, the Bucs host the historically bad Saints secondary that has already surrendered 37 total touchdowns to quarterbacks, and just got lit up for five passing scores against Cam Newton.
