Now that we’ve moved beyond the oddity that was Week 10, the fantasy playoffs are just around the corner. Some more good news is that Week 11 is the final week that features teams on byes.
The bad news there is that the four clubs on bye this week, the Browns, Saints, Giants and Steelers are littered with fantasy talent and have generous defenses.
With that in mind, here are some under the radar players that might make solid replacement starters, and some normal starters you might want to consider sitting this week.
Start
Quarterbacks
Matt Stafford, Lions (vs. Oakland) – Stafford had quietly tossed multiple touchdown passes in three of his last four starts and has a nice Week 11 matchup with Oakland’s ailing pass defense. The Raiders have given up the third most passing yards in the league, and are surrendering the 7th most fantasy points-per-game to opposing quarterbacks. Also considering that Oakland is strong against the run and Detroit can’t run the ball, expect Stafford to be airing it out often in this game, making him a decent fill-in for Ben Roethlisberger or Drew Brees owners.
