With most conferences featuring their league championship, and the Big 12 there in the middle doing their own thing, the last week of college football DFS games before bowl season is finally upon us. As you might expect, many of the biggest names in college football will be playing this weekend, and finding the optimal lineup will be more difficult because some of the more obscure teams you can find the perfect sleeper pick won’t be playing.
Everyone know’s the Stanford offense runs through Christian McCaffrey, just like everyone knows Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty will throw the ball early and often against Southern Mississippi. Despite some offenses being relatively transparent, there are still some hidden values in this weekend’s slate.
As always, you have to understand the games you’re playing in order to maximize your lineups. Both DraftKings and FanDuel have both a four games Friday-Saturday slate as well as nine game day contests and small late Saturday game. A good rule of thumb when figuring for which games to play is the fewer games there are in the contest, the more likely you should be to feature top-tier talent, especially in cash games. For the Friday-Saturday contest, not taking one of the top four quarterbacks will likely cost you and set you behind against most other lineups.
