Fantasy Preview: Broncos @ Raiders

The Denver Broncos travel to the Black Hole to face an underachieving Raiders team that has lost five straight by an average of 18.6 points. That being said, the fantasy community hasn't been let down nearly as often as Raider fans, a trend that should continue on Thursday.

From a fantasy perspective the Broncos have been very reliable all season thanks in large part to Peyton Manning. That won't change as the face a Raiders defense that has given up the second most fantasy points to opposing QB's this season. Manning owners shouldn't fret the fact that he has thrown an interception in three straight after being picked off in three of his first nine games; this is the sixth straight season in which the four-time MVP has had an interception streak of at least three games. If you're going to nitpick, Manning's regression when it comes to fantasy production following a short work week is a little concerning. Since 2008, Manning is completing 67.3% of his passes for 321.1 yards when he had less than a week to prepare. He also has thrown 18 touchdown passes and against just four interceptions. However, his last two shortened weeks resulted in Manning completing only 55.3% of his passes. The drop in completion percentage  indicates that it is taking Manning more passes to produce the elite numbers we have come to expect, a worrisome trend if Denver jumps out to a big lead in this game.
