Kendall Wright offers strong DFS value in Week 12

Last week's picks did fairly well. Brock Osweiler finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback. Darren McFadden finished with 149 total yards. Theo Riddick finished 17th among fantasy running backs. Danny Amendola caught all nine of his targets for 117 yards, before going down with a knee injury. Sebastian Janikowski finished fifth among fantasy kickers. That’s not bad for a bunch of cheap players!

After sorting through this week’s price sheets, I’ve found some valuable players for our Week 12 rosters. As I have done every week, I used my prediction models—which I’ve written about in the past—to find the players with the most value at each position on all three major DFS sites. I also accounted for injuries and matchups when I made my picks.

Most of the well-known fantasy studs and superstars have been excluded. Even though I think many of them have a lot of value this week, I don’t think it’s necessary to explain why.

Now, let's dive into some of my most value picks for Week 12. I’ve included many of the players’ projected floor and ceiling scores (PPR). They give us clear indication of who has good GPP potential (high ceiling), and who should be used primarily in cash games (high floor). The prices listed below each player are the ones I consider to be a good values this week.

Quarterbacks

Brian Hoyer (GPP) vs New Orleans

Hoyer has completed the NFL concussion protocol, and will regain the starting job from T.J. Yates. In general, he’s underrated as a passer. His season-long passer rating (2.0) is 14th among quarterbacks. That puts him ahead of Philip Rivers (1.6), Tyrod Taylor (1.3), and Tony Romo (0.2).

He has the best possible matchup this week, the Saints defense. For the season, it’s last in the league for points allowed per game (31.5). In its last three contests, it gave up a whopping 348 passing yards per game, and the opposing quarterbacks had a combined 14-to-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Hoyer and DeAndre Hopkins make a nice stack this week. Hoyer’s floor is nine points, and his ceiling is 31.
