Top IDP waiver adds for Week 15

Good luck with the fantasy playoffs this week. Be sure to take a look at the IDP strength of schedule column I put out for a multi-week look at matchups, and of course you should read everything Jeff Ratcliffe writes. He isn’t the most accurate IDP ranker over the last three years for nothing …

Pass Rushers

A divisional clash between the Bears and Vikings provides us with our first targets this week, namely Brian Robison and Danielle Hunter. He may be on the old side and slowing down a bit, but, Robison is playing 84.1 percent of snaps for Minnesota and is playing opposite Everson Griffen, allowing him more exploitable matchups. As far as matchups go, the Bears are one of the most favorable, but know that Robison has posted four sub-five point fantasy returns in his last five games. Taking a position on Robison isn’t easy, and playing him is one for the short-handed and brave among you. For what it’s worth he has graded +7.6 over the last four weeks and had registered two sacks, two hits and 10 hurries, so although he’s a sleeper swing for the fences, there is hope. Rookie teammate, Hunter, is being used as a situational pass rusher, playing around a third of snaps, so he has a lot less opportunity than Robison, but has been a slightly more dangerous edge threat. Hunter has generated pressure on 11.8 percent of his pass rush snaps versus Robison’s 10.6 percent. In the deepest of leagues, consider Hunter a hail mary pickup and play.

If Mario Edwards Jr is still sitting there, grab him. The Raiders have matchups against the sixth and fifth best matchups for edge threats over the next two weeks, and he has been a low-end DE1 since Week 5. As mentioned in my IDP strength of schedule piece for the fantasy playoffs, 4-3 ends with decent matchups are a rarity for these next few weeks, so Edwards, with his high tackle floor, is a desirable pickup. Of course this means Khalil Mack should continue to be a stud as well over the final few weeks of the season. He’s an upside LB3, or mid-tier DL1 if available.
