With the 20th pick in the 4th round, Chicago seleceted Khaseem Greene, OLB from Rutgers University. Having played safety for the majority of his college career, Greene is one of the more intriguing linebackers in this year's draft class. The two time Big East defensive player of the year has drawn comparisons to Tampa Bay's Lavonte David for his physical stature and style of play, and if the Bears get half the player that the Bucs got in David, they'll be pleased. Greene has the speed and agility to get past blockers, but on the contrary, may lack the size to fend off those blockers if engaged. His athleticism and versatility should make him effective as both a pass rusher and in coverage, but its difficult to determine just how effective he will actually be.

Fantasy Impact:
As his stats suggest, Greene has a knack for being involved in big plays. Throughout his college career he played a part in 19 turnovers, nine of which came in 2012. This stat makes him particularly valuable in big play formats, but he still has to earn a starting role before he can put his big play ability to use. A strong tackler, Greene has the potential to be good situational play in IDP leagues this year, but keep your expectations modest as 4th round picks are nowhere near guaranteed a starting spot. He is currently #2 on the Bears depth chart at WLB behind Lance Briggs, while James Anderson is penciled in as the starter at SLB, so special teams is likely where Greene will be making his first impressions. As both Briggs and Anderson are hardly spring chickens there is hope that he sees the field for extended playing time in the next 2-3 years though.
