Do not draft these 10 players in fantasy this year

Okay, so the title of this article is a little misleading. Unless a player is injured, there’s really no such thing as a guy with a blanket “I’m not drafting him” rule. Every fantasy-relevant player has a breaking point in drafts where he becomes a value. However, in most drafts, players will go at, or near, their current ADPs. Based on those numbers, the following is a list of players who should not be drafted at their current price.

1. Jeremy Langford, RB, Chicago Bears

Would you expect anyone else to top this list? Langford is a prime example of a Red Zone Channel player. People have seen the highlights and have a picture of Langford that isn’t accurate. Sure, he finished in the top 25 among running backs in fantasy scoring last season, but the raw numbers don’t even come close to telling the whole story. Langford was among the league-lows in forced missed tackles and runs of 15-plus yards. He was also among the highest in pressures yielded as a pass-blocker, and he led all running backs in dropped passes.

I have grabbed Forsett several times in the 10-11 round. Aging backs are a gamble especially Forsett who has a loaded backfield. But its worth the risk to grab a starting back in those rounds even if their grip on the job is tenuous.
Ladarius Green situation is really disappointing. Finally gets out of Antonio Gates shadow lands in the perfect situation outside of possibly GB and now he is out with mysterious health issues. I was really looking forward to drafting him.

    • Eric Johnson

Getting Forsett that late is great value. If Ravens are running the ball 30 times each game I still think Forsett is getting 14-16 of those carries.

Not draft Tom Brady? Seriously? EVERY time the Patriots are out to stick it to someone they straight bash people in, without mercy, for most of the season. Brady, top 3 QB scorer post suspension, in round 6 on average? Yeah, PLEASE come play in my league.

Got Brady in the 7th, 81st pick overall, I’ll take that to the bank all day long. Wait on QB is a high reward strategy this year, s/b what everyone is on instead of the no RB ranting.

I think people are looking at this article and thinking none of these players should be drafted no matter what. But in reality I think Jeff is trying to point out don’t draft these guys at their adp. Why take Forsett at rd8 when like Chad said he has been getting him at 10/11. There’s a value for everyone, but not everyone should be drafted where their adp is.

There was another article that said to go all in with Seattle passing offense (along with Oakland running offense). Here they’re telling us to avoid Baldwin and Graham. Doesn’t add up.

    • Matty

Probably a different writer wrote the all in on Seattle.

I wouldn’t doubt it, but it’s still confusing. These guys need to talk!

    Well this article sucked.
