The best defenses to stream in fantasy in Week 10

You did it. You made it through the toughest part of streaming defenses. There were six teams on bye each of the last two weeks, limiting your options at the position. For the course of the year, though, streaming defenses has been a sound strategy, as you’ve been able to snag teams like the Eagles, Bills and Chargers off the waiver wire.

It’s become a trend to play the defense matched up against a backup quarterback, but we’re now starting to see some of those backups retain the starting jobs. Whatever Week 9 brings, you’ll be prepared, because you’ve got our streaming defenses of the week.

Houston Texans (at Jaguars)

Speaking of backup quarterbacks, we don’t know how long it will take until Blake Bortles is a backup quarterback with the way he’s played this season. The Chiefs were among the easy defensive calls last week, because they were at home against Bortles and the Jaguars. While yes, the Texans are going to be on the road, it’s still against the Jaguars. They have allowed multiple sacks to opponents in seven of their eight games this year, and have also allowed at least three turnovers in half of their games. As for what the Texans do well, it’s defend the pass, having allowed just one quarterback to throw for more than 252 yards, and none to throw for more than 271 yards. They have also held opposing quarterbacks to just six passing touchdowns this season. The area they have struggled without J.J. Watt is defending the run, but we already know that the Jaguars have not been able to run the ball this year. They average just 89 rushing yards per game, the seventh-lowest average in the league. Coming off their bye week, the Texans should be a solid streaming defense.
