Remember when “Zero RB” was all the rage during the preseason? The idea was that the top-tier running backs are hit-or-miss, so it makes sense to focus on the wide receivers at the top of your draft because they are more predictable and they will be less volatile when it comes to producing fantasy points.
For the most part, that theory is sound. Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson (even prior to his injury), Mark Ingram, Devonta Freeman and Eddie Lacy have disappointed. But the wide receiver position has a handful of question marks, as well.
After two games, here are the top-20 wide receivers in the league based on standard scoring:

Of course, a two-game slate is a small sample size, Also, Chicago and Philadelphia play Monday night, so their wide receivers could break into the list. Notice there are some key players absent from that list. Odell Beckham Jr., Allen Robinson, T.Y. Hilton and Golden Tate are frustrating fantasy players.
It’s time to ask ourselves, is it time to panic, or can we relax?
Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants
Beckham still leads his team in targets (19) and catches (12), but barely. Beckham’s 12 catches have gone for 159 yards and zero touchdowns. Rookie Sterling Shepard is 11-of-12 for 160 yards and a touchdown. More surprisingly, Victor Cruz is 8-of-11 for 125 yards and a touchdown.
