We were fairly successful with our list of Week 2 DFS fades, and we’re back at it with Week 3’s Sunday slate just a day away.
This week is a little interesting, particularly on DraftKings, because there are a lot of good quarterback options — making it difficult to find more than one fade option — and there are a ton of wide receivers in the mid-price range that offer good value, again making it difficult to find fade options.
Below is a list of players you might want to leave out of your DFS lineups this week. As usual, for the most part, these are player I’m fading in both formats. If there’s an exception to that, I’ll call it out.
(Note: I’m providing only DraftKings and FanDuel salaries as I live in Florida, where Yahoo does not operate.)
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins (DraftKings: $6,400; FanDuel: $7,200)
Cousins is not playing good football right now — he has our No. 30 grade among quarterbacks — and the Giants defense appears to be vastly improved this year. Dak Prescott scored just the 28th-most fantasy points among quarterbacks when playing the Giants in Week 1, and Drew Brees ranked 22nd against them in Week 2. Cousins did toss for more than 300 yards in each of his two games against the Giants last season, but he also threw only two touchdowns while tossing two interceptions.
