Week 2 DFS Locks of the Week: Get excited for Alshon Jeffery

There was a bit of an injury bug that bit our locks last week, when Russell Wilson was stepped on by Ndamukong Suh and then Sammy Watkins had some issues with his foot, which he thought he re-broke.

But injuries aside, there were plenty of points within our locks, as we had the top two running backs in all of fantasy football in there with Spencer Ware and DeAngelo Williams. And then Matthew Stafford (our No. 1 quarterback in the “locks”) finished with 340 yards passing, to go along with three touchdowns.

So now we head to Week 2. Let’s get into the players who need to be in all of your DFS lineups. Keep in mind that in we are trying to spend as little as money as possible, but leaving no risk with these players, outside of injury, of course.

Eli Manning, New York Giants (vs. Saints)

Do you remember the highest-scoring game from 2015? It was a fantasy extravaganza where the Saints and Giants combined for 101 points. That game was in New Orleans, where Drew Brees typically lights up the scoreboard. This week, the game will take place in New York.

You don’t need me to tell you that the Saints defense is bad, but it may have actually gotten worse than last year. The Saints tried to help their pass rush by drafting defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins, but he suffered a broken fibula in practice. They cut Keenan Lewis, one of their starting cornerbacks from last year, and most recently, lost their No. 1 cornerback Delvin Breaux to a broken fibula. If there is one team competing with the Colts for worst secondary, it’s the Saints.
