5 QB battles and how they affect fantasy


It’s July. NFL players haven’t even put on pads to practice. Yet many fantasy players, myself included, have already done multiple drafts. MFL10s are extremely popular this time of year and dynasty leagues thrive in July.

And yet, what do we really know?

First, we need accept that we’re all in the dark. Second, we need to make the best assessments of the questionable situations and decide what is most likely to happen in each scenario.

Quarterback battles determine the trajectory of a given team like no other depth chart vulnerability. Quarterback play — well, good quarterback play — is hard to find. Sometimes teams have to get creative.

Here are some questionable quarterback scenarios to watch and how to face the uncertainty head-on.

Philadelphia Eagles: Sam Bradford vs. Carson Wentz vs. Chase Daniel

Sam Bradford will enter the season as the starting quarterback for the Eagles. New head coach Doug Pederson continues to reiterate that fact to the press. But since the team paid a hefty price to move up and grab Carson Wentz as the second pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, it’s hard for fans and fantasy players to let it go.
