Last week's picks did well. Matthew Stafford went off and threw for five touchdowns, and finished tied for first in fantasy points among quarterbacks. Thomas Rawls rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown. Travis Benjamin caught six balls for 90 yards and a touchdown. Antonio Gates finished as the second-highest scoring fantasy tight end. He caught four balls for 53 yards and two touchdowns. That’s not bad for a bunch of cheap players!
After sorting through this week’s price sheets, I’ve found some valuable players for our Week 13 rosters. As I have done every week, I used my prediction models—which I’ve written about in the past—to find the players with the most value at each position on all three major DFS sites. I also accounted for injuries and matchups when I made my picks.
Most of the well-known fantasy studs and superstars have been excluded. Even though I think many of them have a lot of value this week—especially Cam Newton— I don’t think it’s necessary to explain why.
Now, let's dive into some of my most value picks for Week 13. I’ve included many of the players’ projected floor and ceiling scores (PPR). They give us clear indication of who has good GPP potential (high ceiling), and who should be used primarily in cash games (high floor). The prices listed below each player are the ones I consider to be good values this week.
Quarterbacks
Jay Cutler (GPP) vs San Francisco
Over the past three weeks, Cutler had the sixth-highest fantasy points per drop back (0.53) among quarterbacks. He’ll air out the ball often during this game, as the 49ers have one of the worst pass coverage defenses (-24.4) in the league. With Martellus Bennett back from injury, Cutler is primed to have a top-10 fantasy performance this week. His floor is 8 points, and his ceiling is 31.
