Fantasy preview of the Big 12, Part 2

We’re on to the last five teams in the Big 12 to preview for college fantasy this season. (If you missed the first half of the conference or any of our previews so far, we have you covered.)

Baylor Bears

The dismissal of head coach Art Briles places the program’s future in limbo. At this point, all we can do is work with the facts. While the remainder of the staff is supposed to return, OC Kendal Briles has yet to confirm his intentions. His departure would certainly dampen the outlook of what was expected to be an explosive offense. The loss of the head coach has already led to a list of recruits requesting a release from their commitments, including, from the 2016 class, the No. 1 OG in the nation, Patrick Hudson; four-star RB Kameron Martin (now considering Missouri); and OT J.P. Urquidez. The list doesn’t end there, as the 2017 class was also hit with decommitments from WR Hezekiah Jones, DT Jayden Peevy, TE Kedrick James and S Donovan Stiner. Baylor’s top 2017 recruit, QB Kellen Mond, is also “reassessing his pledge.”
