Fantasy preview of the AAC East

There are so many college football teams, which means there are so many college football players, which means there are so many college fantasy football options. With so many choices, the non-Power Five schools can sneak some productive options in there, but the talent pool isn’t as deep. Today, our look at these conferences begins with the American Athletic Conference’s East Division. (To catch up on our college fantasy preview so far, check here.)

Central Florida Knights

Disheartening results led to the retirement of head coach George O’Leary after the Knights began the 2015 season 0-8. The losing streak continued, finishing the season with an 0-12 record. Heading into the 2016 season, new head coach Scott Frost and offensive coordinator Troy Walters are attempting shake things up by replacing a pro-style, run-heavy attack with a quick-fire, spread philosophy. The new staff will inherit an offense returning 86 percent of 2015 snaps and 78 percent on defense (third-highest combined total in the FBS).
