Fantasy football would be hard enough if all there was to a player’s success was his own ability. Instead, production requires an alignment of factors that include ability, health, and the ability and health of teammates. That last one seems like the relevant theme of Week 11. With injuries that will likely sideline some if not all of Michael Vick, Ben Roethlisberger, Jay Cutler, and Alex Smith, the receivers and backs on their teams could see dramatic changes in their production. It is always important to consider the value players derive from other players, even if they are healthy and present at the moment. Players that rely on keystone members of their offense can be more volatile than would be expected of their own merit, and owners often overlook those factors in their evaluations.
