If you are reading a site like Pro Football Focus, then chances are you are employing a value-based drafting strategy when it comes to fantasy. Any pick can look good in a vacuum, but it is only in the context of the players who have been taken before and after that we can truly evaluate a draft selection.
That’s why it is important to monitor Average Draft Position (ADP). In dynasty in particular, since leagues operate in perpetuity, ADP can be viewed as a stock price. The months of July and August are a tumultuous time for ADPs as we receive wave after wave of training camp reports coinciding with our first looks at players on the field in preseason.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the 25 players who have risen the most in ADP in the last month. Some players’ change in price, such as Andre Williams, are self-explanatory to anyone paying attention this summer. My observations will focus on less publicized shifts in value which you can use to your advantage against owners asleep at the wheel.
