After a two-week losing streak, we got off the schneid in Week 7 with a big lineup that produced a solid 125.82 points thanks to huge performances from Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin.
We put $25 in play spread across five $2 double-ups and three $5 double-ups. Our lineup cashed in every contest with ease, bringing our bankroll back up to $171.80 for the season.
Since we now have seven weeks of data points, we can start increasing our weekly amount in play. This week, we’re going to play $40, which is slightly over 23 percent of our bankroll. We’ll play six $5 double-ups and two $5 triple ups.
Incidentally, I’ve received some questions on Twitter as to whether the competition gets more difficult at larger buy-ins. While in theory, I suppose it does, it’s been my experience that generally the same point totals cash in $5 contests as we would see hit pay dirt in $2 contests. At these low stakes, there’s no need to overthink the competition.
