WR prospect Zay Jones may have the best hands in the draft

  • The ECU product led the nation with 216 targets in 2016, 45 more than any other FBS receiver. He caught 158 of those, 21 more than the next-highest figure.
  • Jones saw a lot of screens at ECU, but even removing those from his target figure (37), he still led the nation.
  • Jones was a stand-out player at the Senior Bowl, where his stat line for the game (six catches from eight targets for 68 yards and a touchdown) dramatically undersold his performance.
  • Jones recorded a drop rate of just 3.7 percent, second in the FBS among receivers with at least 100 targets. The FBS average drop rate for receivers was 8.3 percent.
