Steelers get new backup QB, draft Joshua Dobbs

  • With the 135th overall pick in the NFL draft Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected QB Joshua Dobbs out of Tennessee.
  • Dobbs’ 105.7 QB rating when under pressure in 2016 ranked third among draft-eligible quarterbacks.
  • He ranked 25th among 151 qualified FBS QBs in 2016 with a 78.3 overall grade; he ranked seventh with a 90.6 running grade.
  • Dobbs ranked 14th in the draft class with a 72.5 adjusted completion percentage.
  • He ranked third in the class with a 55.8 adjusted completion percentage on balls traveling at least 20 yards in the air.
