Browns might not need to be in a hurry to draft a QB

  • Cody Kessler led the NFL in adjusted completion percentage while under pressure in 2016.
  • Kessler was the third-highest-rated rookie quarterback (74.2) last year behind Dak Prescott (84.9) and Carson Wentz (76.8).
  • Kessler’s adjusted completion percentage in the NFL (78.2 percent) was higher than Deshaun Watson (76.1), Patrick Mahomes (75.4), or Mitchell Trubisky (75.1) in their final seasons in college.
  • Kessler’s adjusted completion percentage was also higher in his final college season (78.2) than those any of those three QBs.
