  • NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting the San Francisco 49ers are “strongly considering” selecting a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick.
  • Of the top three quarterbacks on the PFF Big Board – Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, and Patrick Mahomes – none ranks among PFF’s top 10 overall prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft.
  • Trubisky’s high adjusted-completion percentages across the board in his single season as a starter at North Carolina likely makes him the best fit in Kyle Shanahan’s offense should the 49ers opt to go with a QB.
  • Trubisky’s adjusted-completion percentage bettered both Watson and Mahomes on throws versus pressure, versus the blitz, and to the intermediate area of the field (11-20 yards downfield).
