Don’t Make These Linebacker Mistakes


A.J. HawkSo you are in a deep, tackle-heavy IDP league, and you are about to put together your roster. You haven’t really been paying attention to offseason happenings, but you feel pretty safe in the knowledge that you can construct your roster with high volume tackle linebackers, strictly by following the PFF Fantasy Guide.

But something may happen to shake you confidence in the guide. You notice that when you filter your leagues statistics from last season there are guys who had over 100 tackles last season being ranked lower than rookies and people on rookie year contracts that you have never heard of. You are becoming really tempted to select some of the 100-tackle guys instead of sticking to the chart.

Before you start picking up big names, let’s go over why you should trust the PFF Fantasy Guide and not your lying eyes. Even though the PFF totals are more accurate, for this article we will utilize the official tackle totals from the NFL.
