2015 has had its share of unusual “outlier” weeks, but Week 10 might go down as the strangest of all. Unsung heroes, strange endings, and more big injuries — last week pretty much had them all.
Hopefully the madness didn’t hurt your fantasy squad too much, and you’re still in position to keep improving your team as the postseason is on the horizon.
Here are some players available on waivers that might improve your chances of making the postseason, or put you in a better position to win once you get there. After all, that’s what these previous 10 weeks have been all about — even the unpredictable ones.
Quarterbacks
Tony Romo, Cowboys (ESPN 47% owned; 35% FAAB) – Hopefully you were proactive and added Romo last week, but he’s still available in over half of ESPN fantasy leagues, just in time for the playoffs. With the quarterback position loaded with injuries and underachievers, being able to add a Pro Bowl player like Romo off of waivers this late in the season is a rare treat. Romo is a locked-in QB1 and will return with a Week 11 meeting with Miami’s bottom-10 fantasy quarterback defense. Romo is a premium add for the many teams needing to shore up a thin quarterback position.
