Let’s begin the 2016 preview of the fantasy college football season with the Southeastern Conference’s West Division.
Alabama Crimson Tide
One offseason removed from winning the College Football Playoff, Alabama is currently staging competitions at key skill positions that could ultimately result in a new strength. At quarterback, Cooper Bateman leads by a nose over Blake Barnett. In the backfield, Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris have been shredding intrasquad scrimmages with their eyes set on replacing Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry. The offensive focus, though, could shift to the passing game considering the offense’s greatest concentration of talent, the wide receiver corps. Returning stud Calvin Ridley will most definitely maintain his hold on the No. 1 role, while recent Bowling Green graduate transfer Gehrig Dieter will compete with returning Robert Foster and ArDarius Stewart.
