As we approach Week 8 for NFL DFS, we’re presented with a number of wide receivers who can be picked up off of the fantasy scrap heap this weekend, making a case to be considered fantasy zombies. Each week, I’ll feature the top punt options at running back and wide receiver that present the most value for your daily fantasy lineups.
Running Backs
Chris Johnson, Cardinals – FanDuel $7,300, DraftKings $4,600, Yahoo $27
Another week has gone by, and another running back (Todd Gurley) roasts the Cleveland defense for 100 yards and a score. Johnson has been productive in good matchups, breaking the 100 rushing yard threshold in three of the past five weeks. He really can only be considered in punt play territory on DraftKings, who are notorious for the least aggressive week-to-week adjustments in terms of elevating salary. Consider him a must-play for cash games and GPP’s on DraftKings against the second-worst run defense in all of football in 2015.
