Leveon Bell joins Jamaal Charles and Arian Foster on the injured reserve, further saturating the running back market, while the release of Joseph Randle cleans up the Cowboy committee.
Houston Texans – Blue leads a gloomy bunch
So much for Alfred Blue’s lack of involvement in the passing game. He caught all five of his targets for 33 yards while continuing to lumber away on the ground, adding 14 carries for 39 yards. Clearly and as expected, Blue is the main back in Houston in lieu of Arian Foster but leaves much to be desired.
His competition is the equally inefficient Chris Polk, who was given a hard look this past Sunday in a sloppy 20-6 victory over the hapless Tennessee Titans. He saw 9 touches on his 15 snaps (60%) but failed to show any pop averaging below 2.5 yards per touch. Jonathan Grimes served as a placeholder, catching 2 of his 3 targets during his 18 snaps for 12 yards .
