  • NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Raiders quarterback Derek Carr may wind up with to $25 million annually when the teams agree on a new contract.
  • Carr is coming off his best season since entering the NFL, with his 87.0 grade ranked sixth among all quarterbacks in the NFL. $25 million per year would make him the highest-paid QB in the NFL.
  • Currently, the three highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL are Indianapolis Colts' Andrew Luck, New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees, and Washington Redskins' Kick Cousins (franchise tag). All three ranked inside the top eight quarterbacks in the NFL last year in terms of PFF grade, but Luck was the only one of the three to grade higher than Carr.
  • With season grades of 47.7, 86.5, and 87.0, Carr has improved every season since entering the league.
